KAITLYN GAGHAN, Varsity Head Coach:

Coach Gaghan is in her first season as the Varsity Head Coach of the Greenwich Cardinals.  Gaghan played D1 at Quinnipiac University for her freshman year before transferring to LIU Post University.  At LIU Gaghan was a starting defensive midfielder and had the opportunity to compete in two Final Fours (2014 & 2016) and win two ECC Championships.  As a Pioneer, Gaghan was an ECC Scholar athlete and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recognition.

Gaghan served as an Assistant Coach at Pace University (2016-2017) and as the interim head coach for the Fall 2017 season.  As a coach at Pace, she helped the team to be ranked #11 in the nation, develop two All-Americans, three All-Region and six All-Conference players.  Gaghan has been coaching clu and travel teams since 2012 with the Long Island Yellow Jackets.  she has led her teams to compete nationally at recruiting showcases and competitive tournaments.  Gaghan began her career at Farmindale High School where she was a back-to-back NY State Champion in 2009 and 2010.  As a starting defender for the Dalers, Gaghan won four Nassau County Championships, two LI Championships and competed in the US Lacrosse National Tournament for the NY Metro team.


MEGAN WAX, Varsity Assistant Coach:

Coach Wax is a Bethel, CT native and went ot Immaculate High School in Danbury, where she played field hockey, basketball and lacrosse.  While in high school, Meghan was an integral part in the development and implementation of starting a Bethel Youth Lacrosse Program, wher she assisted in directing the program, running summer camps, coaching and refereeing throughout college.  Wax attended the University of Connecticut, where she was accepted into the Neag School of Education's prestigious integrated Bachelors/Master's Program for secondary mathematics education.  As a sophomore in college, Wax began to coach field hockey at E.O. Smith High School.  When school was not in session, she coached eighth grade basketball and high school summer league basketball, which she continues to do.  After graduating with her Master's in May 2012, Wax accepted a seventh and eighth grade math teaching position at Eastern Middle School in Greenwich.  That fall, Wax began coaching for Greenwich High School as a field hockey, basketball and lacrosse coach, which has kept her busy for the past six years.  



Coach Simpson has bee coaching women's lacrosse for the past 20+ years of which the past eleven have been at Greenwich High School. Simpson works locally in real estate and was part of the start-up program at Brunswick where he played football and hockey.  Simpson spent two eyar playing hockey with the Lake Placid Roamers and attended Babson playing hockey and lacrosse.
